2026 Baseball Preseason Player Info Meeting
Jan 24, 2026
The baseball preseason players meeting is scheduled for Thursday, January 29th at 4:00pm - 5:00pm @ GHS, room 121.
All prospective Garfield baseball players should plan to attend the preseason players meeting with Coach Moedritzer and the other GHS baseball coaches. This meeting will include all the information you need to prepare for the upcoming season including an overview of the Bulldogs baseball program, tryout dates, info on the Final Forms athletic registration process, required equipment / uniform items, practice schedules, and much more.
You will also get an introduction to our varsity team captains for 2026. At the conclusion of the meeting, all rookies should introduce themselves to the members of coaching staff that are present at the meeting.
Please do not skip a winter sports practice or game for this meeting! Your priority right now should be on GHS basketball, swim & dive, or wrestling if you are on one of those sports teams.
No need for players to RSVP if they are able to attend the meeting, but please let Coach Moedritzer know if you can't make it so that you can find another time to connect before midwinter break to go over important info.

Fall Ball 2025
Sep 15, 2025
VP of Baseball Todd Bare has organized another season of Fall Ball for Garfield baseball players. This is an excellent opportunity for kids to get in more baseball reps, work on their skills, maybe try a new position (versatility is very important at the high school level), and meet and socialize with their new and returning baseball teammates. The Fall Ball season will run approximately from mid-August through October, culminating with a fun competition called the "Sluggers Cup". The Fall Ball program consists of several practices per week, as well as weekend games organized through the Top Tier Sports Fall Ball program. The players will be split into two teams, depending on skill level, one 16U team and one 18U team. Here's to a productive and fun Fall of baseball!
